Making no distinction between stupid or clever, important or futile, abstract or concrete.
His works are rooted in the tradition of folk/outsider and religious art, heavily leaning on symbolism, popular culture, miscommunication and delusional systems. His technique is raw, trying to maintain the untrained hand and eye. The improvisational- and a la prima working method result in complex layered paintings, that are narrative yet open to interpretation.
